Jones Energy – Phase 1 Complete, Moving into Phase 2

04.04.2011

News, Our Work

The cabling team has completed Phase I of the Jones Energy relocation and has moved into the rough-in portion of Phase 2.  Jones Energy is moving into new offices on the same floor they currently occupy at Las Cimas.  This project is another referral from our good friends at Stream Realty.  In order to keep Jones’ operations running smoothly, the project must be done in two phases.  Phase I consists of approximately 120 Cat6 cables used for both voice and data. We are using standard 19″ Chatsworth racking and wire management.  Phase II will consist of another 114 Cat6 cables and the removal of all of their abandoned cable.

Everyone should be this happy at work.

Jones Energy develops natural gas wells in the Texas Panhandle.  They use state of the art technology such as horizontal drilling, PDC bits and 20 stage frac techniques to accomplish their goal of finding natural gas and bringing incremental gas to the market.

The general contractor for the project is Trimbuilt Construction, Inc.  We always enjoy working for Trimbuilt.  As one of the premier GC’s in Austin, they can be counted on to provide us with a safe and clean jobsite.  Austin is the Onsite Superintendent for the project. When he gives you a schedule, you can bet that he will be right on.  This trait is invaluable to subcontractors like ourselves.  We have to know that when we put a project on the calendar that project will be ready for our arrival.  Delays can cause other projects to fall behined. Since we are usually the last subcontractor on the project, the client is counting on us to have their network infrastructure in place and tested so that they can install their equipment and have the business up on Monday morning.

*****Update – Phase 1 of Jones Energy move is complete.  Friday afternoon was a little on the hectic side getting d-marc extensions completed and adding some last minute Cat6 drops*****
